This letter was sent to the General Manager of Wollongong City Council to draw attention to the unsafe fencing near St Micheal's School 28 July 2016...

We writing this letter to draw your attention to what appears to be dangerous safety fencing along the edge of Lawrence Hargrave Drive in Thirroul.  The location of the fencing is marked in red on this map.

These two photos show the second panel of fencing nearest Station Street disconnected from its supporting poles. It is loose and moves when leant on.  This section of fence is behind the bus stop adjacent to St Michaels Primary School and as such, appears to present a danger to schoolchildren.

The rest of the fence northward appears to be in poor condition as shown by these two photos

Note the small trees growing out of the supporting wall directly behind the fencing.  Could you please arrange for these concerns to be addressed as you see fit?

Yours sincerely,

Murray Jones

Secretary, Thirroul Village Committee.
